5 Fall Activities You Can Enjoy While Social Distancing

As the summer heat dissipates, and the cool air arrives, it may be too cold to engage in outdoor activities, which has been encouraged as a safer way of enjoying activities. Is it safe to engage in activities indoors? What are some Halloween activities that I can enjoy with my friends/family that still comply with social distancing regulations?

Here are some activities that are fun and Fall themed but still continue to follow social distancing.

1. Apple/Pumpkin Picking
   • Its apple and pumpkin season! That means that apple farms are full of apple and pumpkins that are ready to get picked. Most apple farms do have other activities in addition to apple and pumpkin picking such as hayrides, corn maze, and concerts. These farms are also supposed to follow safety regulations in regard to social distancing, so please check your local apple farm to see what those regulations are.
2. Outdoor Haunted Houses
   • Here in New York, Haunted Houses have actually transitioned to outdoor environments. Meaning that you would still get the same experience of a haunted house but you would be walking around outside.  This to me is exciting just because I feel that being outside, in the dark is sooo much scarier than being inside a building.
3. Hiking
   • Fall tends to have the perfect weather for hiking. It is cool enough that you are able to make the hike without ending up dripping in sweat. And Fall also means that the leaves are changing colors which means that hiking will give you the perfect view of the Fall foliage. Who doesn’t love a beautiful view of colorful trees?
4. Bonfire
   • Bonfires are the perfect way to stay warm and socialize with other people. Although this may not comply with social distancing regulations, you can still control how many people are invited to the bonfire and the location of it.
5. Beer/Wine tasting
   • Beer and wine tasting is my personal favorite activity to do. And Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the cool weather while trying some hard ciders or wine.

There are probably a bunch of other activities that you can engage in during this Fall season. The most important thing to consider is to stay safe while enjoying yourself. Comment below some other activities you enjoy doing during the Fall.
